Groups

Fruita United Methodist Women

A community whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole person through Jesus Christ: to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. Meetings are Jan-June, Sept-Dec, usually the first Monday night of the month at 6 p.m.  downstairs at the church.

Generation Z

All women are invited for coffee, cookies, and conversation. There are no officers, no dues, no pre-planned topics of discussion just a chance for warm fellowship. Meetings are held the third Tuesday of the month at 10 a.m. at a private home, which varies each month. If you are interested in joining the group for a morning contact Marilyn.

Book Study

The group chooses a book to study from contemporary theologians and authors addressing contemporary Christianity in the world. Often studies include a DVD showing countries and sites pertaining to the study. A chapter a week is read individually prior to the Thursday get together. At 10:30 a.m. on Thursdays in the West Room of the church discussions cover  the chapter and how it applies to our life today, or what can be learned. For more information contact Marilyn.

Fruita United Methodist Men

This group meets every 3rd Saturday at Judy’s Restaurant in Fruita. All are invited to join in conversation surrounding spirituality and good works in the community.

Mission Projects

Each month is a new mission including supporting the Agape Food Bank, Little Sprouts Preschool, Heifer International, and care packages for those in need.  Monthly committee meetings focus on each mission of the church and anyone is invited to attend.  Meetings are held on the last Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. in the fellowship room at church. For more information contact Lauri.
